1.1 Clinical Presentation

Incubation period for the disease is 14 days, with a median time of 4-5 days from exposure to symptoms onset.

Signs and symptoms may be one or more of the following

  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Fatigue
  • Anorexia
  • Shortness of breath
  • Sputum production
  • Myalgias

Interview the patient to find out about his or her clinical illness and exposures in the 14 days prior to illness onset. The answers should help you determine if the patient meets Case Definition for COVID-19 (whether suspect or probable).
